i’ve been wanting to get more serious about coffee for a while now, so illy’s invitation to discover its newly launched monoarabica capsules was a welcome excuse for me to finally attend a real coffee tasting session. diego allaix of the università del caffè di trieste (yes, there’s a coffee university – how cool is that?) kindly explained to a small group of belgian foodies how to detect the different aspects of coffee’s aroma. difficult stuff, you guys. basically i sucked at it, so i’ll need lots of practice. and like i needed yet another reason to drink more coffee, of course the monoarabicas tasted delicious.
