for the longest time i had no idea of the radness going on in cape town. until i discovered the super cool blog of marleen vos – her illustrations drew me in (‘scuse the pun) and i quickly discovered cape town has everything i could want of a destination.
honestly, i think i would book three different hotels during my stay in cape town – there’s no way i can choose between quirky daddy long legs’ art hotel, the super stylish and cosy babylonstoren and the ultraluxurious rooms with private swimming pool at pod. so maybe do a little hotel tour while you’re there?
also, can we just go ahead and call cape town the coffee bar capital of the world? if one day you see someone hopping around the city ecstatically, that’s me jacked up on caffeine. and i’ll probably take my first three hits at truth, yours truly and deluxe coffee works. for more caffeinated inspiration, head over to ilovecoffee.
foodies – or, you know, caffeine junkies on a food kick – should head out to the neighbourgoods market and superette, a café run by the organizers behind said market. it’s fresh, it’s local and it’s all presented beautifully.
