Cuberdons Leopold

i get these inexplicable urges to eat a particular kind of food or candy sometimes. i will eat massive amounts of it for days on end, and then just as suddenly get tired of it. i guess i am sort of prone to addictions, and i get bored very easily. but there are some classics that don’t have the same effect on me. they are to be savored only once in a while, when you’re at the right place at the right time. ice cream in italy, for example, or pretzels in new york. the same goes for cuberdons, which are an iconically belgian piece of candy. the pictures above are from cuberdons leopold, a small start-up company that clearly knows its stuff and has a great eye for packaging. i kind of like that i’m not able to get their cuberdons here in geneva, so they are something to look forward to whenever i go back to belgium.

  1. ik vind dat dus de mooiste snoepjes ter wereld en ik lust ze echt echt niet. altijd begin ik er met smaak aan en altijd draait het verkeerd uit. ik denk dat ik niet hou van de hard/zacht combinatie. prachtige foto’s en als ik ooit op bezoek kom, breng ik er voor u mee.

    I’m with Kim, ik vind ze ook echt niet lekker ookal zijn ze zo schattig. Ik heb dat eerder met goeie marsepein, of stroopwafels! Classics die herinneringen bij me naarboven brengen en die ik slechts zelden eet, maar altijd met smaak.
