we had literally been dreaming about eating oysters in san francisco ever since we boarded the plane for california, but the capital of gastronomy was the last stop on our itinerary. i think that’s why went a little overboard once we finally got there – we went to hog island oysters twice and had nothing but oysters and oyster chowder for lunch. decadent? why yes. delicious? absolutely. i still can’t look at these pictures whithout suddenly craving an oyster. definitely money well spent, and one of my favorite san francisco memories.
