Villa Bagatelle

November 1, 2012 • BudapestFood and DrinkTravel

i don’t think there is anything i like more about holidays than having late brunches – especially of the in-good-company kind. so ending up having some kind of late breakfast or brunch every day while visiting our friends in budapest, could not have made me happier. we started with villa bagatelle, which i loved for its classic vibe, tasty muesli and awesome signage. it also has a little home decorating store upstairs that sells some nice trinkets and my all-time favorite: ralph lauren sheets. when we descended the winding stairs outside, some kind of diplomat and his family were being dropped off by their chauffeur – which gives you an idea of the kind of clientele villa bagatelle attracts. while definitely not the cheapest spot to have breakfast in budapest, it still was incredibly inexpensive compared to what we are used to in geneva, or in belgium, even.

I am so glad you liked it! we go there pretty often and I am also very happy that you liked the signage – it is made by David Barath,

    I hope you enjoyed Budapest!
