a while ago some of my most creative friends from belgium – pablo and manon – came to visit in geneva, and so i was psyched to show them some of my favorite spots in the city i had discovered since last time they were here. i hadn’t been to mamco yet, the museum of modern and contemporary art, though i had been to the centre d’art contemporain housed in the same building. i had high expectations and they were partially met.

it’s a beautiful building, there’s a strong focus on graphic design and it has several pretty cool nooks and corners, but i couldn’t help feel like the collection on display was a bit all over the place. though i did thoroughly enjoy the exposition of yves bélorgey’s almost instagram-like photorealistic paintings of buildings. it runs until the 20th of january, so if you’re around before that, do go check it out.
