About Megève

January 9, 2013 • GenevaThe AlpsTravel

we had some friends over in geneva for new year’s and went skiing in megève, our favorite place for beautiful views, slopes between the pine trees and nice restaurants. lunch time is the highlight of each day for us, and we start planning it around the time of our first coffee in the morning. food just tastes better when you’ve busted your ass on the snow, am i right?

if you’re headed to megève any time soon, be sure to make reservations at l’alpette well in advance. sitting on their lovely retro patio, people-watching and sipping an apéritif with the sun shining on your face is, indeed, priceless (and we felt super lucky to be able to do that end of december!) and no, that’s not our landrover defender, but in case you hadn’t noticed yet, i’m obsessed with them. i want one, badly. and this one looks dope.

This makes me want to go back to the Alps! However, I only go in the summer, since skiing and me don’t exactly go well together, although I adore snow (and landscapes with snow).
The restaurant looks fab, the location even better!
