design platform de invasie, which unites small or up-and-coming designers from belgium and the netherlands, made the trek out to milan for the first time this year. it was lovely to see them take their initiative to the next, international level. after years of hard work in the benelux, it would be nice to see these designers picked up by the rest of the world, too.

of course i wouldn’t have missed their presentation at ventura lambrate for the world, especially since they were on such prime real estate! de invasie took up an entire floor of everyone’s favorite (and most photographed) luna building in the lambrate area. those industrial letters get me every. time.

if you like what you see in the snapshots i took, be sure to check out de invasie webshop, where most of it is for sale. my personal favorite is the limited edition gold-plated ‘take me easy’ stool by cariboudeficelle – easy like a bowling ball.
