Im Viadukt

July 9, 2013 • Food and DrinkTravelZurich

i suddenly realized i haven’t really shared a lot yet from our recent trip to zurich, but in real life i keep telling people to go there. so it’s about time i start posting my favorite spots. and where else to start than with the best place for foodie and design packaging cravings?

my fiancé and i are both really into food, though we each look for different things. he’s always searching for lesser known ingredients and products that are hard to find but essential to some kind of dish he has in mind, and i basically look for pretty packaging. i’ll admit – part of me dies a little whenever we open a particularly nice can, bottle or tube of something to actually cook with it.

im viadukt definitely was the nicest food market i’ve been to in a while. my guy will always prefer paul bocuse in lyon over this one, but im viadukt had waaay more goodies that were right up my alley. it’s a good thing we went to zurich on a swiss flight and loading our trunk with dozens of sodas and tonics wasn’t an actual option. or else i totally would have.

otherwise, im viadukt is a really nice place to wander through. have some oysters, stop by for lunch or pack a picnic to eat in the nearby park. just try not to go there on a completely empty stomach.

just so you know, our trip to zurich was sponsored by swiss airlines and the 25 hours hotel, but of course all postings on here are my honest opinion.
