i promised you a list of my favorite places in vancouver’s gastown, and here you have them. we really loved this cozy neighborhood, and took an entire day to discover its many shops, cocktail bars and restaurants.

old faithful shop was the perfect place to pick up local souvenirs and typical american ‘general store items’, or – as i like to call them – ‘things you didn’t know you absolutely needed.’

the best espresso i had in vancouver was at revolver, and it was a really nice place for it, too. it gets super crowded, but if you manage to grab a table on the side or a seat at the window, the people watching will be worth it.

i’ve been reading inventory magazine religiously ever since it came out, so a visit to their flagship store was high on my list of to do’s. the shop did not disappoint, with a great selection of men’s clothing and accessories and some knick-knacks and magazines that were so hard to leave behind.

finally, nelson the seagull was our favorite spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch. it was a cozy place to hide from the rain, and the granola was pretty good.
