Bar Chine In Antwerp

January 30, 2015 • AntwerpFood and DrinkTravel

BAR CHINE couldn’t have chosen a better location in antwerp to open its doors – it’s on the draakplaats (dragon place) for crying out loud. and going for appropriately named street and hipster neighborhood is not the only good choice the owners of CUICHINE made when opening up a second restaurant. they went for a gastro bar concept (i love to sit at bar tables), they keep tables free for walk-ins (so new york of them), they serve reasonably priced bites and shareable plates (i like to order one of everything) and they serve amazing cocktails (i love their alcohol-free flower dragon).

on top of that, the food is really, REALLY good. i dare you to try their pork puffs and not order seconds. the interior is a bit sparse maybe, but i bet it gets super crowded and cozy at night. in every way bar chine offers a modern take on the classics, and so it is a welcome breath of fresh air in the otherwise kitschy chinese cuisine landscape. i’m really happy my latest browsing of the FEELING FEEL.IT app convinced me to go and check it out for myself, and i’m already thinking of when i can go back…

this post is a collaboration with FEELING FEEL.IT – of course all my opinions are my own.
