a few weekends ago, a family dinner brought us to amsterdam, where i was completely taken by surprise by gebr. hartering. two brothers, a simple and honest formula of eating whatever the chefs have prepared for that day and a very cosy industrial interior: it was right up my alley. the restaurant even had a boat for eating al fresco, though i wouldn’t recommend it if you get seasick. besides, the ground level dining room is super nice – i always love having a la marzocco in sight.
