ah, napa valley. i dream of its vineyards and of our hotel there – the carneros inn. it’s the first real honeymoon location on our trip, and i intend to take full advantage of that. all the rooms are little cottages that have their own fireplace and an outdoor shower attached to the bathroom. and did i mention their boon fly cafe serves mini donuts and an apparently legendary bacon bloody mary?
as for activities and discoveries, i’m hoping we won’t do much more than maybe rent a bike and cycle to a nearby vineyard, taste lots of wines (californian wines are our favorite!), eat good food and enjoy some quiet and relaxing time together. though i won’t say no to oysters from hog island oysters and coffee from ritual roasters at the oxbow public market.
