for this chapter in my styling story with belgian boutique FRANCIS FERENT, i visited the LOCATION IN KNOKKE. for those of you not familiar with the coastal cities in belgium – knokke is one of the fanciest, with plenty of cool beach bars, beautiful shops and really nice restaurants. i’ve been going there every summer since i was born, and have fond memories of playing in the sand as a toddler, and partying till dawn as a teenager.
i used to visit the francis ferent boutique a couple of times during every stay, first to scope out what they had, then to decide what i’d love to have the most, and finally to buy the one item that in my mind managed to upgrade my entire wardrobe. most of it was fantasy shopping, but some of the pieces i actually spent my hard earned cash on are still hanging in my closet after all these years. the boutique changed over the course of the years, and the current location only opened its doors a few years ago. it’s minimalist, white and bright, so i could pretty much move in there. i’d be surrounded by so many cool brands, i think i could be pretty happy there.
to share some of our snapshots of the store, i played dress-up and wore a denim camouflage shirt by dsquared, cropped jeans by helmut lang (different color HERE) and adidas by stella mccartney sneakers. there was plenty more to be admired – from TORY BURCH JUMPSUITS to beautiful THEORY TOPS, but more on that is coming soon in part two of our knokke adventure!
