overall, i didn’t exactly think shopping in los angeles was as good as in new york, but broome street general was a nice surprise. the kind of general store you come to expect in places like brooklyn, it sells all kinds of handmade products and artisan food. it’s where i picked up a few bars of mast brothers chocolate, and some super nice napkins and kitchenwares. you can also have a coffee or a drink in their front garden.

what i loved most about los angeles was discovering nooks and corners that were really lovely in an unexpected way, like this plaza in silverlake that was painted in bright yellow polkadots. we just had to stop the car and park to admire it from up close.
