Lyon

Polacafe

March 23, 2014 • Food and DrinkLyonTravel

let’s talk about LYON for a little bit more. we happened to walk past the POLA CAFE a few days after it opened. i don’t feel like the interior is super nice – it all looks a little like it was thrown together without much thought – so to me this is really a place to go for the terrace in summer time. but if you do go inside to order, make sure to check out the awesome collection of vintage toys and polaroid cameras strewn about. if that doesn’t make you want to take some old fashioned snaps, i don’t know what will. oh, and this neighborhood? totally worth checking out. there’s plenty of young designer boutiques and curious little shops to discover.

Mokxa

March 15, 2014 • LyonTravel

MOKXA might be the first french coffee place i visited where they don’t call my favorite drink in the world an expresso, but respectfully use the original italian term espresso. there’s no X in espresso, people. but there sure was a lot of oomph in the coffees we had on mokxa’s terrace. the place was super crowded the entire time, and we didn’t have much trouble figuring out why. make this your first stop on a day of exploring LYON‘s city center, and i bet you it’s gonna be a good day.
