Picknick

April 22, 2011 • Food and DrinkRotterdamTravel

menu # picknick does breakfast and lunch the way it is meant to be done. eggs, biscuits, sandwiches, pastries: it’s all there and it’s all very yum.

atmosphere # i came here on a sunday morning when it was still relatively early, and we didn’t have any trouble finding a place to sit. thirty minutes later, it was a full house: friendly faces everywhere, i didn’t get the impression this was a hipsters-only kind of place.

neighborhood # i really don’t know rotterdam that well, but from what i saw during my very brief visit, picknick is located in one of the most interesting streets of the city in terms of small boutiques and cool places to hang out.

nice extra # the small terrace in the front and the larger one in the back.

Rotterdam In 24hrs

in need of some quality time with friends, we took a trip to rotterdam this weekend. though i can’t say i’m a big fan of the city – i found most of the architecture awfully depressing – we did find some nice restaurants, bars and cafés, and i loved the city’s many bridges and the view on rotterdam at night from the euromast restaurant at 100 meters high.
