Cafe Henrici

September 26, 2013 • Food and DrinkTravelZurich

it was too hot to be inside when we visited zurich earlier this year, but i’m glad i went inside café henrici to take a peek at their interior. i could totally see how this place would be warm and cozy and perfect for a wintery afternoon. and i highly recommend their patio in summer, which looks out on a nice little plaza and has comfy benches from which to observe passers-by. i actually didn’t have coffee here – too many coffee places in zurich, too little time to process all the caffeine. but their home made ginger lemonade was amazing. i hear they also serve a mean cold brew, so next time i’m definitely going to try that.

Cafe Lang

September 17, 2013 • Food and DrinkTravelZurich

we stopped by café lang for after dinner drinks on their patio and stayed way longer than we had planned. something about the place made us feel like we were on a holiday. but also, café lang is situated on a crossroads that is pure entertainment 24/7. we have never in our lives seen so many gorgeous or bizarre cars drive by in such little time, and we frequently had to interrupt our conversation to point them out or just gawk in awe. judging from that evening, zurich’s not a poor town, lemme tell you that.

the day after we passed by again on our way to the city center and we saw the patio was full with people enjoying what looked like a lovely brunch. so i’d definitely put this place on your itinerary, whether late at night or early in the morning.
