Thursday Dinners X Bordeaux

before i left on an incredible bachelorette trip to ibiza – which i can’t wait to tell you all about – i had the pleasure of co-hosting an amazing dinner in antwerp. as ambassadors for the bordeaux wine regio, my colleague jens and i asked louise of the infamously great thursday dinners to put together a special edition in collaboration with bordeaux wines.

we invited a handful of cool bloggers to enjoy louise’s cooking paired with a wonderful array of wines, and it was a night i won’t soon forget. anne of baroness o, emma of my fashion blog and nathalie of the merrymakers were our lovely company – it was so much fun catching up with them, or getting to know them better in such an intimate and wonderful atmosphere.

louise treated us to a delicious meal, paired with bordeaux wines from start – shrimp dumplings! silken tofu! – to finish – home made tacos! rhubarb tarte tatin! i completely stuffed myself, everything was that good. and we had a great time learning more about tasting – and smelling – wines and how they influence the meal they’re paired with.

definitely wouldn’t mind doing this again.
